This weekend we finally decorated for Christmas (to Grant's great relief). We toned it down a bit this year, since Hayes wants to touch everything, which made decorating the tree a stressful experience, but it should make all future years seem easy by comparison! Here's our advent activity calendar, along with a new old tree and old old elves (and a sneak peak at the beautiful curtains Migi made while she was here!)...
The activity calendar is made from the old curtain rings and scrapbooking paper envelopes. So far, it's been working out great. We just flip over the number after we've finished an envelope.
And here's our finished tree (it doesn't get a private room like last year, and Kyle thinks it's the smallest tree he's ever had--which is okay since we skipped half of our ornaments for being too fragile--but we still love it):
