Hayes' Two Month Checkup

Hayes was 12 lb 12 oz and 22 3/4 inches at his two month pediatrician visit.  Grow baby, grow!

Touch A Truck

Today we discovered Grant's new favorite activity: Truck Touching.  "Touch A Truck" is a local fundraiser that we're pretty sure is going to be an annual tradition in our house.  It's basically a parking lot full of every type of truck and vehicle you could imagine, and kids are encouraged to touch and climb on the trucks.  Here are a few of the highlights...

Checking out the fire truck (even though it was Carolina blue...the price we pay for living in Chapel Hill):

Watching the helicopters land (We watched the first one from inside the 'city bus' since we'd been warned the dust could get bad):

Running around inside the back of a 55' Harris Teeter semi (this was probably Grant's absolute favorite):

Two Months for Hayes

Hayes turned two months old today, and he was very pleased about it.

He CAN cuddle!

For a momma who's always trying to get her busy busy toddler to cuddle, this little moment was heaven (even if it meant I didn't really get to take the nap I'd originally been hoping for)...

Happy Easter!

We did it again!  We took all of the Boys Club + Charlie to meet the Easter Bunny.  (Kim had to work, so that's Charlie's grandma holding her.)  All of the kids were of course terrified of the bunny, except for baby Evan, who thought the bunny was very soft and good for sleeping, and baby Hayes, who thought the bunny was very soft and good for nursing.  

A few words of wisdom...

Here's a little clip of Grant talking from a couple weeks ago.  We were trying to get him to say a few things (mainly I wanted to catch his version of oatmeal--'up-we-go' on video), but as you'll see, he was quite obsessed with peanut butter pretzels the whole time...
