Backyard Fun

During one of our nice April days, we went crazy with backyard activities.  Two highlights were a sheet fort:

And pendulum bowling:

Our little Tiger

Grant had his face painted for the first time at the Duke football Blue & White Scrimmage.  We asked him what he wanted to be, and out of the blue, he chose a tiger.  Charlie thought he was a fox.  So here's our foxy tiger:

My New Favorite Aquarium

I'm ready to pack my bags and move into the Georiga Aquarium, right next to the whale sharks.  This place was awesome, and I took way too many pictures and had a hard time editing them down, so you've been warned.

Despite the look of terror on Grant's face, this sting ray touch pool was more cool than scary.

The moving walkway through the whale shark tank's tunnel was fascinating for the kids.  Grant actually stood still the entire time.  I'm not sure when he's ever stood without moving his feet for so long.

Boy floating in a bubble:

You'd never know that there was 2 feet of glass between the people and the fish.

Doesn't it just make you want to throw on a snorkel and hop in the water?

We came up right as these fish were being fed:

Crab, anyone?

The beluga whales loved checking out our kids:

The aquarium was right next to the NCAA basketball craziness, so we were given some basketball freebies which Hayes was very excited to wear:

We hit up the amazing Porter for lunch afterwards:

We might be Braves fans...

I know I'll be in so much trouble for the title of this post, but we had a seriously awesome time at the Braves game with our Atlanta buddies.  We had great seats where the boys got to meet Homer:
And Ben and Kristina had extra tomahawks for our boys to do the Tomahawk chop with their boys (plus the boys were given "I'm here to Chop" stickers on the way in...and the way to my boys' hearts is definitely through stickers).

Not sure if this is going to work, but I even have a video of their chopping:

And to top it all off, we had the perfect view of the Home Depot tools race.  The boys have been obsessed with those tools ever since!  (For the record, the paint bucket won.)

A family photo on the way out:

Final Four!

We went to Atlanta to see my old college roommate and her fabulous family and timed it to go to the Final Four.  No Duke, but we had to at least cheer a bit for Michigan, because we were a few rows in front of their Storm Trooper.  We took this self portrait in an attempt to get a picture of him:

It didn't turn out well, so this was my next attempt (for some reason it was much more entertaining to try to take sneaky pictures of him rather than just go up and get a normal picture):
