The boys have grown a bit since the last time we visited Ganyard in 2011!

Box Fun

Presenting "Grant's Great Grocery Storm".... he insists that it is a storm not a store... and he does appear to be selling his brother.

Gumball Machine

Hayes on the phone: "Hi.  I'm making gumballs. Lots of gumballs."

This is how he was making gumballs (apparently they "bake" in the divots on the under side of the booster seat):

Hayes' First Day

Hayes' 2's class (the "Mouse Class") is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so he got to have his own first day of school photo shoot.  He had the sillies right out of the gate, but we still got some cute ones.  He prefers to have spiky hair when going to school.

Grant dressed himself for his second day of school:

Grant's First Day

Grant's going to school 5 mornings a week now, so he had his first day on Monday.  He's in the "Diggity Dog" 4's (or pre-kindergarten) class.  We managed to get in one "nice" picture before the sillies started...

Beach Week Placeholder

We wrapped up an awesome week with our dear friends at Emerald Isle with an impromptu pajama pirate photo shoot.  I have about 500 other pictures to sort through from the week, and no idea when that'll happen, so in the meantime, here's a placeholder of one of my favorite photos from the week:

Brothers

We're starting to have more sweet, un-prompted moments like this where the boys cuddle up and read or do projects together, and it's been heart-meltingly awesome.

After that, the boys wanted to pose for some pictures of their own:

More Iowa

We had one more important stop to make in Iowa and went to the cemetery where my dad, his dad, and many other relatives are buried.

It was the first visit for the boys, and they were very helpful with putting out flowers.

They also enjoyed working with their second cousins to pick up some little apples.

Here's the farmhouse where my dad and his dad grew up.  It's not in the family anymore, but it'll always be what I think of when I remember our annual summer visits to Iowa.

We attempted to get a picture of Grandma with almost all of her great-grandchildren--just missing Summer!
